Projects

Arlanza Community Garden: Since Winter 2017, we have worked with the community garden near Arlanza Elementary located at 8700 Cypress Ave, Riverside, California. This corner was once the Fire Station for old Camp Anza (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CdG28fhMCq0), an Army Station Facility established on the heals of the attack on Pearl Harbor, that drew this country into World War II. Over 600,000 men flowed through this staging area on the way to the Pacific arena of World War II. On Saturday, a group regularly gathers between 10 - 12 a.m. to help locally, discuss service opportunity, and otherwise engage in good conversation. The time together welcomes anyone who is interested in joining. Hope to see you there!

Servitas FC: Since Summer of 2017, we have supported an all-girls soccer team based in the county of San Bernardino. The players of Servitas FC commit to developing not only as complete players, but also as complete young women through the principles of justice, kindness, and humbleness as manifested through academics, sportsmanship, and community service.

Bible Club: Since 2018, we have operated an after-school club in the Riverside community for students to fellowship, worship, and sing.

Project Misión, The Church that God Built Through His Servant Quintin Marca: A great servant of our community, Quintin Marca, financially supported and for six months on his eightieth birthday helped physically build a church in the Altiplano of Bolivia. He literally gave all he could to complete it. He did this because he wanted the people in his hometown to hear the Good News to which he committed his life. It is his lasting legacy to God. At the age of 91, after 67 years of marriage to Margarita Marca, Quintin Marca passed away on May 3, 2021. Although he can no longer support the church, his children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren wanted to continue supporting and provide others the opportunity to support it. MakeServe is honored to be a part of this important work. MakeServe will use donations earmarked for Project Misión to directly support the church that God built through his servant Quintin Marca.
